Welcome to Council #14550 Website
The St. Martin of Tours Council was founded in 2008 through the efforts of two Knights, who are members of the St. Martin of Tours faith community, Juan Mendez and Al Rosker. They, along with the then parish pastor, Fr. James N. Poulsen recruited members, sought Supreme’s authorization through the District Deputy and were able to gather 33 Charter members in time for the July 2008 Installation of Officers ceremony. The Council is named after the parish namesake, St. Martin of Tours, the hermit of Ligugé who became the Bishop of the Church of Tours. The St. Martin Council works closely with the St. Martin Parish in La Mesa, providing funds for various projects, and being active participants in their parish’s activities.
KofC Council Brothers support local charities and the St. Martin of Tours Parish by fundraising and providing manpower when requested by either our Pastor Fr. Elmer, or other parish ministries.
We host several dinner and dances each year as well as provide a coffee and donut (plus other treats like no others) on the fourth Sunday of each month at Barry Hall.
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization consisting of Catholic gentlemen
